I am on way too many Zoom calls.
Whether I like it or not, they keep pulling me in and before I know it I have 8 back-to-back 30mins calls.
What’s worse, is that every. single. call. I keep checking myself out.
Is my hair ok?
Did I just smile weirdly?
Is that a pimple?
Most likely, my appearance didn’t actually change in the split second between jumping on the next Zoom call, nor does it change every 10 seconds when I glance at myself.
Yet for the next 30mins, my eyes will jump around between myself and the other person.
Back and forth.
Back and forth.
In short - incredibly distracting - for yourself and the other person.
So do yourself a favour and minimise or even hide yourself.
